Our Programs

Our Alignment

All of The Marigold Collective's programs are highly specialised, evidence-based training courses, seminars and study tours which are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, as described below.

AITSL has developed the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers to help teachers “understand and develop” their “teaching practice and expertise across 4 career stages.”  AITSL believes that by demonstrating the Standards teachers “can have maximum impact on all learners.”

Teacher Wellbeing

While AITSL has not developed a specific Professional Standard that expects teachers to develop and maintain their own wellbeing across the four career stages, research shows that teacher wellbeing is directly linked to student outcomes.

However, there are six Professional Standards that professional learning to support teacher wellbeing can be linked to:

  • 6.1 Identify and plan professional learning needs

  • 6.2 Engage in professional learning and improve practice

  • 6.3 Engage with colleagues and improve practice

  • 7.1 Meet professional ethics and responsibilities

  • 7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements

  • 7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities

Professional Knowledge, Professional Practice & Professional Engagement

The Marigold Collective creates study tours that provide teachers an opportunity for professional learning in the following Professional Standards:

  • 2.1 Content and teaching strategies of the teaching area

  • 2.2 Content selection and organisation

  • 2.3 Curriculum, assessment and reporting

  • 3.2 Plan, structure and sequence learning programs

  • 3.3 Use teaching strategies

  • 3.4 Select and use resources

  • 6.1 Identify and plan professional learning needs

  • 6.2 Engage in professional learning and improve practice

  • 6.3 Engage with colleagues and improve practice

  • 7.1 Meet professional ethics and responsibilities

  • 7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements

  • 7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities

Each of The Marigold Collective's programs are highly specialised, evidence-based training courses, seminars and study tours that meet the AITSL Professional Standards, therefore they can contribute to your ongoing professional learning requirements as an Australian teacher. A certificate of participation with the number of hours and relevant AITSL Professional Standards will be provided upon completion.

Teachers and education professionals should speak to your tax professional about submitting the cost of the training courses, seminars and study tours as an income and work-related deduction.
